Jay Zoellner - President and Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, President and co-founder of EPS Corp, Jay Zoellner has grown the company from an idea to a leading sustainability solution for Fortune 500 companies. Under his leadership, EPS conceived xChange Point, an innovative and systematic software and communications tool for maximizing energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions at the equipment level across an entire enterprise, in real time. It has been implemented at many of the nation’s largest manufacturers and has earned EPS recognition as a Global CleanTech 100 company, a spot on Orange County’s Fastest Growing Company list, and as an Orange County Top Work Places company. He individually received the Excellence in Entrepreneurship recognition by the Orange County Business Journal and was honored with the Los Angeles Venture Association’s Best Venture Financing Award for Clean Tech and Energy investment in 2009.

Mr. Zoellner has nearly 30 years of experience in the energy industry, including power plant development, construction, operations and consulting; development and management of high voltage substation design/build projects for major western utilities; major steam system and generator replacements; and energy efficiency projects at commercial and manufacturing facilities throughout the country.

Formerly a vice president at The Bentley Company, he successfully transformed the Northwest office from a 12 person engineering services activity into a regional utility services powerhouse of more than 100 personnel performing high value utility projects throughout the western United States, helping to position the company for acquisition by a large energy services company. Prior to that, he worked at ABB, Inc., a global energy and transportation company, as a consultant to multiple nuclear utilities in the U.S. and Britain.

Mr. Zoellner began his career as an officer in the US Navy’s nuclear submarine service. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Idaho.
