Energy Efficiency Projects

EPS developed energy saving projects at several casino facilities around the country through our expert consulting, project development and construction management services.  The casino engaged EPS to perform the following scope of work:

  • Development of a strategic energy plan for 19 casinos
  • Energy surveying
  • Project identification
  • Energy analysis utilizing DOE 2, Excel, and Trane Trace

The net result: EPS identified $16,000,000 of potential energy savings projects.

Energy Efficiency Audit

A leading entertainment company was interested in reducing their energy operating costs for their facilities.  They invited EPS Corp to conduct an energy efficiency audit of their entire compressed air system.  After a thorough analysis, EPS discovered that the operating compressed air capacity exceeded the measured supply by an average of 39%. EPS provided a comprehensive report with specific recommendations and quantified the savings that could be achieved by installing new equipment and controls.

The net result: An energy savings potential of 47% for an annual cost savings of approximately $510,698.

Energy Efficiency Audits

EPS Corp worked with 7 facilities of a casino group to perform a detailed energy analysis by completing on-site inspections, building drawing reviews, employee interviews, utility bill reviews, and building load profile simulations (based on proposed operation). Based on this analysis, EPS developed Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs) for each facility. EPS provided a detailed report defining the measures, the potential savings and the environmental impact of each.

The net result: The casino had a detailed roadmap for achieving energy efficiency with a combined potential cost savings of over $730,000 annually with a 27% internal rate of return.
