Costa Mesa, CA – October 23, 2009 – EPS Chief Operating Officer Staffan Akerstrom will discuss the company’s approach to energy intelligence and how new technologies can both reduce energy costs and carbon emissions at the Worldwide Food Expo, the world’s largest food and beverage technology event. The presentation takes place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 28th in the Sustainability Pavilion of Chicago’s McCormick Place.
Energy intelligence uses comprehensive, enterprise-wide energy information in real-time to assess and implement solutions that deliver persistent energy and carbon savings with financially compelling results.
Mr. Akerstrom’s session will explore current energy issues and describe how focused energy intelligence efforts can provide ongoing energy savings and compelling financial opportunities for the food and beverage industry. He will also preview information from an upcoming Aberdeen report on energy intelligence that quantifies its value to industry.
“In order to improve company sustainability profiles with shareholders and customers, and to realize sustained energy and carbon efficiencies, the food and beverage industry is moving toward real-time understanding of water and energy usage and carbon emissions,” said Akerstrom. “This discussion will illustrate the importance of real-time analysis in delivering immediate and persistent reductions in operating expenses through high ROI-focused solutions.”
EPS will be at booth # S5143 in the Sustainability Pavilion for the duration of the expo, where they will be running demonstrations of xChange Point ™, the company’s comprehensive subscription based hardware and software solution for energy and carbon emissions management. EPS representatives will also be on hand providing information on their clean generation solutions, which include Clean Heat and Power, biogas solutions, photovoltaic and thermal solutions, and fuel cell applications.
