As Group President of Fluor, Oliver held global strategic and profit and loss responsibilities in order to provide engineering, construction, and maintenance services for the petroleum, chemicals and mining industries. He also served on numerous regional boards, including Fluor’s power joint venture with Duke Energy, and was responsible for Fluor’s global sales organization, corporate strategic planning, project finance, and international operations.

Oliver has also served as Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Business Development Officer and Chief Operating Officer at the Washington Group International, where he led the integration of thirteen individual companies into a single organization in only eight months. He is a graduate of Auburn University, the Stanford S.E.P. Program, and a founding member of Cal-Poly-Pomona University Educational Trust. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Science degree and was named Corporate Citizen of the Decade by Cal-Poly. He is a Trustee Emeritus with the University of Montana Foundation, and he serves as Chairman of the Board of Advisors with the Davidson Honors College at the University of Montana. He is a member of the American Petroleum Institute, the API 25 Year Club, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
